John Thames

John ThamesJohn Thames graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University in 2003. He graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2006, where he was a director of the Labor and Employment Law Moot Court and a top member of the Multi-Profession Business Law Clinic. John worked as a law clerk with Bonner and Borhart, LLP before joining Carson, Clelland, and Schreder in December of 2006. Since that time, John has worked primarily in the field of criminal prosecution and municipal law. John has handled numerous trials and has argued at the Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court. As a part of this work, John handles criminal expungement matters.

John also works with the firm’s municipal clients on real estate and zoning matters, and represents private clients in criminal defense work and creditors’ remedies cases.

John is married and he and his family reside in the east metro.
